The Personality
Andrew Hutchinson is the founder of criticalfriend.  He has been employed by household names such as ICI, Courtaulds, Barcrest, Siebe and Amey.  In having been a designer, management consultant and political adviser he has mixed with academics, politicians and entrepreneurs. He has acted as a critical friend to a wide range of projects and undertaken private commissions from the Cabinet Office, the Home Office and police services.  He has contributed to research on leadership and the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister's evaluation of the Charter Mark and Beacon Council schemes. He is the former leader of the East Midlands Citizen's Charter Quality Network and of the South East Midlands Service First Quality Network bringing together best practice across health, local government, voluntary and public bodies.
 
Increasingly being asked to provide confidential bespoke advice to NGOs, small businesses and individuals criticalfriend was founded to both solve problems and to innovate while developing new relationships with individuals and organisations.  With Andrew's philosophy of 'working to live' and not 'living to work' you are just as likely to find him 'jamming' with a French rock band, doing 'stand-up' comedy in Budapest or delivering after-dinner speeches in Sweden as you are in the boardroom.
